As part of their campaign “Ninnu Nammam Babu” against AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Babu Naidu, the YSRCP Opposition part decided to boycott the state assembly sessions.
According to reports, boycotting the assembly sessions is part of the 2nd phase of YSR Congress Party’s campaign called “Ninnu Nammam Babu” or “we don’t trust you babu”.
The second phase of this campaign against the ruling Telugu Desam party and CM Mr Naidu began on the first day of the assembly and is likely to continue until the 8th of Feb.
The YCP has also been demanding the disqualification of MLAs and ministers like Adinarayana Reddy, Bhuma Akhila Priya, N Amarnath Reddy, RV Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao who defected from their party to the ruling party.
The Ninnu Nammam Babu campaign was created by the YSRCP to highlight the unfulfilled promises made by the ruling party of Telugu Desam and CM Chandrababu Naidu. This campaign was designed by the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) and is the brainchild of political strategist Prashant Kishore.
The first phase of the Ninnu Nammam Babu began in the form of YS Jagan’s 14-month long Padayatra across Andhra Pradesh, which concluded earlier this month. The purpose of this campaign is to bring to light Naidu governments various unfulfilled promises like Special Category Status to AP, women’s self-help group loan waivers, free housing for poor and a job for every household etc.
