Telangana government gives away buffaloes in Warangal
The TRS government is dedicated to uplifting the backward sections of the state and has been bringing forwards schemes to benefit the farmers and rural population, said animal husbandry minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav after he along with finance minister Etala Rajender inaugurated the buffalo distribution scheme at Mulakanoor in Bheemadevarapalli mandal in Warangal Urban district on Saturday.
Mr Srinivas said the residents of Mulkanoor were the right example to prove that the women of the state are capable of any task if provided with a little help. “The state government is providing a subsidy of Rs 60 lakh to Mulknoor diary every year which is showing commendable results. In the same way, the government is now spending another Rs 10,000 crore for distributing sheep and buffaloes. As many as 23,000 members of Mulkanoor diary will get buffaloes which will improve their financial condition considerably,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, the finance minister said that the state would soon see a milk revolution with the help of the cattle distribution schemes. All sections of people who were neglected in the united Andhra Pradesh were now feeling empowered after the formation of Telangana state, Mr Etala Rajender said.
“We have been successful in attracting the world’s attention with schemes which were never heard of before. Some say we are taking a lot of loans from the banks but they are not aware that the banks are giving the state government loans only because we are capable of repaying them. The government is spending the money solely for the people of the state,” he said.
MP B. Vinod Kumar, MLA V. Satish, district collector Amrapali Kata and several other officials were present at the function.
